Living your life for you. Making how you feel important. Making your inner alignment with your core, your Being Essence, important.
What are instances of not living for you?
First we wish to point out that in a human experience it is natural for it to be a wonderful mix of all kinds of different states, intentions and experiences. You may have moments of living for you, being in alignment and you may have moments where you completely forget and are swept up in whatever life brings to you. You may have experiences that are combinations of different kinds of states. All of that is wonderful. All is a learning experience and an experience of expansion.
Having said that, what would some examples of not living for you be?
If you do something or be a certain way to please or appease someone. This can be a person in your life, a group or institution, a higher power such as a concept of God, or even a presumed ideal of yourself that you try to appease. You have a sense of having to be a certain way, having to behave a certain way, having to do certain things and not do certain other things.
Guilt and shame are born out of these beliefs and practices. Those are emotions and subsequent programs and patterns of behaviors and (often repetitive) cycles of experiences that do not serve you. They are ways to pinch yourself off of your wellbeing.
This is very common and many parts of your society and many people live in this mode to varying degrees and have these kinds of beliefs in their mix that they live by. The beliefs are affirmed and reinforced in many ways.
We offer you a perspective of looking at life and at you - a viewpoint that you can try out for yourself and see what you discover in your own life and if there are new choices you wish to make.
